Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of two years of maintenance or construction experience
• One year of full-charge residential maintenance technician experience preferred
• OSHA knowledge preferred
• EPA certification preferred
• HVAC certification preferred
• Flex schedule and on-call availability for weekends/evenings/holidays
• Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English
• Proficiency in plumbing, electrical and machinery repair
• Ability to follow directions and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs, troubleshoots mechanical systems, and completes preventative maintenance
• Restores vacated apartments to move-in condition for new residents
• Removes snow, ice and leaves from sidewalks, walkways, steps and driveways/parking spaces
• Completes janitorial requirements in accordance with the janitorial schedule
• Responds to on-call emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays—resolving issues
• Patrols property daily to identify areas in need of cleaning and completes required work—remove trash/debris from property grounds and common areas
