American Avenue Property Management (AA) is seeking a Residential Handyperson/Maintenance Technician, also known as a Property Engineer, to inspect, repair, and maintain rental homes across markets. You will handle a range of trades, respond to service requests, and help ensure tenant satisfaction with timely, high-quality workmanship.

You’ll travel daily within the metro area, document work using handheld devices, maintain safety standards, and coordinate with residents and the team to minimize

Qualifications

• Proficient across carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general maintenance.
• Strong communication skills for resident interactions.
• Own tools and a truck/van; valid driver's license required.
• Residential maintenance with code and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across trades (carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Travel between properties within the metro area daily.
• Conduct inspections, secure homes, and complete vacancy/wellness checks.
• Handle pre-renovation repairs, utility inspections, and basic troubleshooting.
• Lead move-in/out meetings and property turnovers.
• Document property conditions using handheld devices.
