Job summary

The Yarco Companies in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager in repairing and maintaining residential properties, public spaces, and grounds, ensuring safety and compliance. This safety-sensitive role requires standing and walking, ability to lift up to 110 pounds, and flexibility to respond to on-call emergencies.

A high school diploma or GED is preferred; HVAC/boiler certifications are a plus; prior residential property

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Pool certification preferred; HVAC certification if appropriate.

Responsibilities

Assist and work with the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager to perform repairs and preventive maintenance throughout the property.
Maintain residential apartment homes, public spaces, outside grounds and equipment.
Conduct daily exterior and interior inspections of the community.
Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning, electrical and plumbing issues.
Make ready units to market-ready condition, possibly including painting.
Maintain laundry rooms per company guidelines.
Perform regular pool maintenance and comply with city codes and company standards (if applicable).
Provide excellent customer service and be available for on-call emergencies as requested by the Community Manager.
