Job summary

The Yarco Companies is seeking a maintenance team member to support the property management of our residential communities in Overland Park, KS. You will assist the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager in repairs and preventive maintenance across the property, ensuring safe and appealing living spaces for residents.

Responsibilities include upkeep of units and common areas, basic appliance diagnostics, making units market-ready, maintaining laundry rooms, and supporting on-site

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; pool certification preferred; HVAC boiler certs if appropriate.
• Experience: One year maintenance experience in residential property.
• Physical & cognitive: Lift up to 110 pounds; frequent standing and walking; attend to safety.

Responsibilities

• Property Appearance/Upkeep: keep the community neat, clean and well-maintained with daily inspections.
• Appliance Maintenance: diagnose and repair minor HVAC/electrical/plumbing issues.
• Make Ready: prepare units to market-ready condition, some painting may be required.
• Laundry Room: maintain laundry facilities per company guidelines.
• Pool Maintenance (if applicable): conduct daily chemical checks and cleaning to meet codes.
• Customer Service: respond to resident needs and on-call emergencies per manager requests.
• Perform other duties as needed.
