Job summary

Timberland Partners in Topeka, KS, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 318-unit community. You will own general upkeep, unit turns, and preventative maintenance to deliver a quality living experience.

Responsibilities include handling resident requests, improving curb appeal, ensuring safety, completing make-readies, and providing on-call support. 2+ years in maintenance and HVAC/door hardware knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general maintenance experience, residential maintenance preferred.
• EPA universal license for HVAC required.
• CPO license preferred.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, electrical systems, and appliances including washer/dryer.
• Experience with turnover “make-ready” of apartments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely, high-quality results for resident work requests and day-to-day community maintenance needs.
• Maintain curb appeal by keeping grounds, amenities, and common areas to high standards.
• Identify and resolve safety or upkeep issues to protect the property and residents.
• Perform seamless make-readies, repairs, and final checks for new residents.
• Provide reliable emergency support on a rotating on-call schedule.
• Support a culture of safety by following all industry procedures.
