Job summary

Timberland Partners is hiring a Maintenance Technician for The Overlook, a 318-unit community in Topeka, KS. You will own general upkeep, unit turns, and preventative maintenance to deliver an outstanding living experience for residents.

Responsibilities include timely responses to work requests, maintaining curb appeal, ensuring safety, performing make-readies, and providing on-call support on a rotating schedule. A strong maintenance background is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general maintenance experience, residential maintenance preferred.
• EPA universal license for HVAC required.
• CPO license preferred.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical systems and appliances.
• Experience with turnover “make-ready” of apartments.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely, high-quality results for resident work requests and day-to-day maintenance.
• Maintain curb appeal of grounds, amenities, and common areas.
• Identify and resolve safety or upkeep issues to protect residents.
• Execute make-readies, repairs, and final checks for move-ins.
• Provide on-call emergency support on a rotating schedule.
• Follow safety procedures to protect staff and residents.
