Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure the community’s buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety and function. This on-site role includes handling resident work orders, make-ready tasks, preventive maintenance, vendor coordination, and budget support for repairs and capital projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Provide own hand tools unless prohibited by state law; safe use of tools and equipment.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to identify and fix problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively for internal and external contacts.
• Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; property management system experience preferred.
• Mathematical skills for financial, administrative, and legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep.
• Oversees make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas.
• Inspects work by service team members and contractors for quality and compliance.
• Maintains inventory and coordinates supplies with Community Manager.
• Completes monthly preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assists in developing budgets for repairs and capital projects.
• Supports cost-saving initiatives and proper tool usage.
• Conducts safety meetings and ensures OSHA compliance.
• Provides customer-focused service and responsive communication to residents and staff.
