Job summary

Greystar is seeking a property maintenance technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work ensuring community buildings, grounds, and amenities meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

You will handle work orders, make-ready, inspections, vendor coordination, and cost control while upholding OSHA and MSDS requirements; strong customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or related training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trades.
• Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by state law; skilled in safe tool use.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to diagnose and fix problems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with residents and team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects in units and common areas per policies and safety standards.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units, schedule vendors, obtain supplies, and inspect work.
• Set standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds and buildings to reflect Greystar quality.
• Inspect work by service team members and contractors; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
