Job summary

Preferred Apartment Communities seeks a dedicated Maintenance Technician to support our Texas properties. You will respond to maintenance requests, perform preventive maintenance, and prepare units for rent readiness.

You will work closely with residents, uphold safety standards, and assist in coordinating with contractors. This role requires physical ability and a proactive service mindset at our Euless property.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years maintenance experience in multifamily.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Budget basics helpful.
• Refrigeration certification (type 2 or universal) or obtainable within 90 days.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance requests and amenity area upkeep.
• Complete work orders for residents (appliances, HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
• Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls.
• Prepare vacant units for rent readiness.
• Maintain logs and databases of service requests.
• Assist in monitoring contractors' performance.
• Support Management in budgeting and policy adherence.
• Perform light cleaning if no housekeeper.
• Maintain and clean amenity areas.
