Job summary

Preferred Apartment Communities is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of our apartment community in Carrollton, TX. You will assist with maintenance requests, repair appliances, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems, while ensuring safety and quality in common areas and units.

The role includes handling after-hours emergencies, preparing vacants for new tenants, and maintaining inventory.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of maintenance experience (apartment maintenance preferred).
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Budget or basic business finance helpful.
• Refrigeration certification (type 2 or universal) or obtain in the first 90 days of employment.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all maintenance requests and amenity area maintenance.
• Complete maintenance work orders for residents (appliances, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
• Respond to emergency maintenance after hours.
• Prepare vacant apartments to make rent ready.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Keep shop clean and stock parts.
