Job summary

Rose Associates, Inc. in Jersey City seeks an Assistant Resident Manager to oversee daily operations of a residential community, supervise the building services team, and ensure tenant satisfaction and financial performance.

You will work closely with the Resident Manager, coordinate maintenance, safety programs, vendor contracts, and staff recruitment, while delivering excellent customer service and keeping residents safe and comfortable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in residential building maintenance.
• Licenses/certifications: Certificate of fitness S12, S-13, S-95, P-99, EPA 608 Universal.
• Must respond to emergencies and be on call 24 hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day property operations and maintenance, addressing tenant concerns.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and asset performance.
• Oversee maintenance with contractors and vendors.
• Contribute to service contracts and supplier obligations (HVAC, cleaning, landscaping).
• Assist in building maintenance budget and expense control.
• Respond to emergencies and supervise projects while enforcing safety protocols.
• Train staff and participate in recruitment and supervision of building personnel.
• Collaborate with unions and union representatives.
