Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Lead to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work ensuring that units, buildings, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role requires leading maintenance tasks and coordinating with the Area Maintenance Manager.

You will handle preventive maintenance, make-ready tasks for new move-ins, supply management, and inspections across on-site properties, with a focus on efficiency and cost-control while ensuring

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and document work clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead/perform preventive maintenance and repairs on units, buildings, and grounds under Area Maintenance Manager guidance.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling as needed.
• Manage materials, inventory, and procurement through the maintenance department per policy.
• Coordinate inspections via property platforms (e.g., Leonardo 247, Entrata) and ensure compliance.
• Complete documentation and paperwork for service requests accurately and timely.
• Maintain grounds, amenities, and common areas; perform cleaning, painting, and minor repairs as needed.
• Support cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
