Job summary

Trinity Youth Services in Yucaipa, CA is hiring a full-time Food Service Worker (Assistant Cook) to prepare meals for residents and staff. You will follow posted menus, ensure food safety, document meal counts, and support inventory tasks in a fast-paced residential setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (Bachelors in Social Sciences/Child Development is a plus), California Food Handler certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in social sciences or child development is a plus.
• Must meet State of California Health Standards for Food Handlers.
• Maintain a current county food handler’s certificate and complete HACCP course.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents and staff following posted menus and recipes.
• Maintain safety and health standards in all food handling activities.
• Document meal counts and reconcile with production records with team coordination.
• Assist in end-of-month inventory preparations with Kitchen Supervisor.
• Drive a vehicle when necessary.
• Record daily production menus and temperature logs.
