Job summary

Trinity Youth Services in El Monte, CA is seeking a dedicated Food Services/Youth Care Worker to support our residential team. You will prepare meals per menus, maintain safety and health standards, and handle daily production records and inventories.

Requirements: high school diploma or GED, California Food Handler certification, HACCP training, 3+ years in food service, English fluency, and a valid California driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must meet State of California Health Standards for Food Handlers.
• Maintain a current county food handler’s certificate and HACCP course.
• Three years or more of extensive food service experience/training.
• Must communicate clearly in English.
• Must have a valid California driver’s license and clean DMV history.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following posted menus with correct food, quantities, and recipes.
• Maintain safety and health standards and comply with local/state requirements.
• Ensure meals are ready for serving at specified times.
• Keep kitchen equipment clean, disassembled/assembled as needed.
• Document meal counts and reconcile with production records.
• Assist with end-of-month inventory preparations.
• Drive a vehicle when necessary.
