Job summary

The William George Agency for Children’s Services is seeking a Food Services team member to prepare and serve meals for residents and staff, while supervising residents working in the kitchen. You will follow menus, read recipes, and ensure quality and sanitary standards.

Responsibilities include supervising residents, documenting incidents, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment in compliance with NYS regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (copy required upon initial hire date).
• Yearly physical within one month of initial hire date.
• Valid NYS Driver's License (copy required).
• Ability to work with diverse populations and foster supportive relationships.
• Must complete all required background checks (SCR, SOR, DCJS fingerprinting, SEL, OMIG Exclusion).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals in a tasteful, eye-appealing, nutritious and sanitary manner.
• Supervise and teach residents in the food preparation program.
• Provide positive role models in the care of The William George Agency.
• Read and execute recipes to ensure quality and consistency.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety per health regulations.
• Adhere to safety standards and dress codes as required.
