Job summary

Comcast is seeking a Residential Installation & Service Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential voice, video, and internet services. This entry-level field role offers paid training, required certifications, and hands-on problem solving in customers' homes.

You will perform service calls, build basic home networks, and compile service data while adhering to safety standards. Training and certifications are provided; flexibility for evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Entry-level field role suitable for hands-on work and problem solving.
• Willingness to work in customers' homes in various environments.
• Requires training and certifications as provided.
• Able to lift 70 pounds and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential installations, service changes, and disconnects.
• Diagnose and resolve issues from network to customer equipment.
• Install and support basic home networks using coax, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi.
• Verify service quality with testing tools and adjust for reliability.
• Educate customers on products, services and usage.
• Document work and update customer accounts digitally.
• Maintain and inspect vehicle, tools, and equipment; report safety issues.
• Operate ladders, meters, and light power tools safely.
• Work at heights up to 26 ft on ladders, roofs, etc.
• Drive company vehicle with valid license.
• Complete required training, background checks, and licensing.
• Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and coworkers.
• Meet or exceed performance and safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
