Job summary

Overhead Door Company of Kansas City™, a DH Pace Company, Inc., is seeking a Department Manager for Residential Install. You will oversee a large team of Residential Door Installers and Department Coordinators responsible for dispatch and service execution.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, scheduling, budget adherence, and performance development within a fast-paced service environment. Bachelor's degree with 3–5 years of management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of management experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in a service-based industry is a plus.
• Valid driver\'s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Residential Install department.
• Plan, manage, and implement schedules to meet daily customer commitments and ensure that the plan is properly executed.
• Review workload and manpower to meet customer commitments in a cost‑effective manner.
• Ensure that projects are completed timely, below budget and to the satisfaction of the customer.
• Review monthly financial/operational reports and develop action plans to improve.
• Improve individual performance of the field force you manage through daily, monthly and yearly performance reviews
• Will assist with hiring, training and developing new employees
• Other duties as assigned

We are hiring a Department Manager to join our Residential Install team at Overhead Door Company of Kansas City™, a DH Pace Company, Inc. You will oversee a large team of Residential Door Installers and Department Coordinators who dispatch them. We sell, service, and install every type of door you can imagine. This is a fast‑paced role where you will work hands on with your team and customers.

What You'll Do

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Residential Install department.
• Plan, manage, and implement schedules to meet daily customer commitments and ensure that the plan is properly executed.

What You Bring

• 3-5 years of management experience coupled with a Bachelor's degree preferred; will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior work in a service-based industry is a plus
• Must have a valid Drivers License and good driving record
