Commercial Department Manager – Entry Door Install Manager

About the Role

Overhead Door Company of Kansas City™, a DH Pace Company, Inc., aspires to hire a Commercial Department Install Manager in our Entry Door Division at our Olathe, Kansas office. The manager schedules, dispatches, manages projects, and controls labor costs.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the install department.
• Plan, manage, and implement schedules to meet daily customer commitments and ensure the plan is properly executed.
• Review workload and manpower to meet customer commitments in a cost‑effective manner.
• Ensure that projects are completed timely, below budget and to the satisfaction of the customer.
• Review monthly financial and operational reports and work with front‑line managers to develop action plans for improvement.
• Improve individual performance of the field force you manage through daily, monthly, and yearly performance reviews.
• Assist with hiring, training, and developing new employees.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of management experience preferred; ideally supervisory or managerial responsibilities in a company that services or installs new equipment or products.
• Ability to manage and develop skilled field technicians/installers and office personnel focused on minimizing labor costs and maximizing profit.
• Excellent communicator, highly organized, and possessing good mechanical aptitude.
• Valid driver’s license.
