HomeWorks Energy is seeking an HVAC Start Up Technician I to install, commission, and calibrate HVAC systems. You will diagnose issues, ensure systems meet safety standards, and document performance checks for smooth handovers to clients.

The role emphasizes clear customer communication, teamwork with installation crews, and ongoing training opportunities with potential for advancement to Service Lead.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
• EPA 608 Certification (for refrigerant handling) is required.
• 1+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, with a focus on system start-up, commissioning, or installation.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, systems, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up, testing, and commissioning of HVAC equipment.
• Explain system operation, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps to customers.
• Document service activities thoroughly, including performance checks and repairs.
• Collaborate with installation teams and customer service to ensure timely project completion.
• Follow safety guidelines and conduct safety checks on equipment.
