Job summary

Blue Dot Heating, Air Conditioning in Newark, DE seeks an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, service and repair home comfort systems across Maryland. This hands-on, customer-facing role involves working inside homes (attics and crawl spaces) to troubleshoot issues and deliver high-quality repairs.

You’ll work a 4- or 5-day week with no on-call, earning $25–$40+ per hour plus commissions and a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• HVAC service experience: minimum 3 years.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background and drug screening.
• Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, and lift heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems with speed, accuracy, and professionalism.
• Perform service and repairs on: split systems, heat pumps, gas furnaces, boilers, air handlers, thermostats/zoning controls, IAQ components.
• Troubleshoot electrical, airflow, refrigerant, ignition, venting, and control issues.
• Document diagnostics, recommended repairs, and completed work in the system.
• Work safely in residential environments including tight spaces, ladders, attics, crawl spaces.
• Maintain a clean and professional service vehicle and appearance.
• Follow all company safety procedures and licensing requirements.
