You walk the scope with the homeowner, stage materials, set protection, and align your crew. You install the system — furnace, air handler, heat pump, A/C, coil, or mini-split — with careful attention to details: refrigerant piping, evacuation, charging, condensate routing, venting, gas piping, electrical connections, controls, and airflow. You commission, verify operation, complete documentation, and leave the space spotless. You drive away knowing the install is something you’re proud to sign your name to.What You’ll DoLead residential HVAC replacements and new system installations end-to-endInstall furnaces, air handlers, heat pumps, air conditioners, coils, mini-splits, and related componentsGuide and mentor apprentices and junior installers on best practicesReview the scope, anticipate issues, and ensure code, manufacturer, and company standards are metEvacuate, charge, test, and commission systems; verify performance before leavingCommunicate clearly with homeowners and keep projects organized, clean, and efficientComplete job documentation and share recommendations with the officeOwn the quality of the finished installationWhat You’ll Bring5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience leading full installsDeep knowledge of furnaces, A/C systems, heat pumps, air handlers, coils, mini-splits, and modern HVAC equipmentHands-on mastery of piping, evacuation, charging, drainage, venting, gas piping, electrical, controls, and commissioningAbility to read specs and follow manufacturer requirements and applicable codesSkill in identifying potential issues before they become problemsExperience mentoring apprentices and communicating professionally with homeownersEPA 608 certificationValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordA growth mindset — you’re always learning and improvingBonus points: Background with heat pumps, mini-splits, high-efficiency furnaces, boilers, and modern controls.
