Wright Heating and Cooling is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and service home heating and cooling systems in our local Akron-area territory. You will dispatch from home and enjoy a take-home vehicle within a four-generation family business with 75+ years in the community.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
• EPA Certification.
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing residential heating and cooling equipment.
• Performing preventive maintenance and system evaluations.
• Tracking down electrical, mechanical, and airflow issues.
• Walking homeowners through findings and recommended repairs.

We're looking for an experienced residential HVAC professional who can confidently diagnose systems, perform quality repairs, and provide homeowners with a professional service experience. You'll work within an established local territory, dispatch from home, and have the backing of a company with deep roots in the industry.

What You'll Handle

As a residential service technician, you'll be responsible for keeping customers' HVAC systems operating safely and efficiently. Your work will include:

• Troubleshooting and repairing residential heating and cooling equipment

• Walking homeowners through your findings and recommended repairs

What We're Looking For

• 2–3+ years of residential HVAC service experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities
• EPA Certification
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving history
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable managing service calls independently
• Consistent focus on safety, reliability, and quality workmanship

Physical & Jobsite Requirements

You should be comfortable with the physical demands that come with residential HVAC service, including:

• Lifting 70+ lbs. when required
• Working in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and outdoors
• Using step and extension ladders safely
• Working in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM

Occasional overtime is required, along with participation in a rotational on-call schedule.
