Job summary

Greystar in San Jose is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the community grounds, amenities, and curb appeal in top condition. You will inspect, clean, and repair common areas, assist the service team, and help with make-ready turnover.

The role requires 1–2 years of experience, a valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on site, and willingness to work a Wed–Sun schedule with on-call evenings, weekends, and holidays. Housing discount eligibility and incentive bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods; work indoors/outdoors in all weather.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the community daily and keep common areas and amenities neat and free of litter.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments and assist with the make-ready process.
• Complete routine service requests and assist the turnover specialist as needed.
• Change locks and ensure pool area gates function safely and per code.
• Distribute notices to residents and communicate with supervisors about hazards.
• Provide courteous customer service and respond to resident questions and complaints.
• Comply with safety policies and attend trainings; report accidents promptly.
