Job summary

Trinity Youth Services in El Monte, CA is hiring a Lead Youth Care Worker to join our residential team. The Lead Youth Care Worker will oversee the day-to-day care of youth, ensure safety, supervise to meet ratio requirements, and support the case plan and activities.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a California driver’s license, and at least one year in a similar youth-facing environment. Bilingual Spanish is preferred, with a competitive pay rate of $21.40 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year experience in youth facility or related field required.
• Current Facility Manager certificate required.
• Must have valid California driver’s license with clean DMV history.
• Must be 21+ and pass background checks; English fluency.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe home for children.
• Provide line-of-sight and sound supervision of children to meet ratio requirements.
• Supervise children to meet ratio requirements.
• Lead in emergencies and communicate with Administration On-Call.
• Provide new and challenging opportunities for development.
• Encourage and assist in learning competencies for independence.
• Encourage and engage clients in educational and social activities.
• Facilitate community access and integration.
• Initiate incident reports and documentDorm logs and reports as assigned.
• Adhere to Case Plan and attend trainings; drive when necessary.
