4CCM is seeking a Food Service Chef / Assistant to support kitchen operations for a residential program in Los Angeles. You will prepare, serve, and help with cleanup, following approved recipes and health standards, while controlling portions and maintaining safety.

Ideal candidates have food handling experience, a valid California Food Handler Card, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse team. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus; driver license preferred.

Qualificações

• One year in food handling and budgeting preferred.
• Experience working with homeless individuals preferred.
• Must possess or certify for State Food Handlers Health Card.
• Must be knowledgeable of food handling procedures and protocols.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, Part-R, CPR and First Aid.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must have a valid CA driver license, have reliable transportation and a good driving record.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee general kitchen operations.
• Prepare pre-approved menu items following standard recipes and procedures.
• Chop, slice, mix, grate and assemble food items for sandwiches, salads and main dishes.
• Portion control and assist in preparing main dishes and entrees; bake items as needed.
• Serve food items to clients and replenish condiments in serving areas.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation; wash dishes, pots, pans and utensils.
• Operate kitchen equipment (mixer, slicer, steamer, warmer, ovens).
• Record deliveries and monitor cooler temperatures as required by regulations.
