Job summary

Ideal candidates bring a Food Protection Manager certificate or eligibility within 90 days, 2+ years of foodservice experience, and a willingness to lead kitchen staff while ensuring elderly clients receive nutritious

Qualifications

• Food Protection Manager certificate required or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred depending on site demographics.
• Minimum 2 years of foodservice experience preferred.
• Foodservice experience with elderly in community or healthcare settings preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of leading or managing foodservice operations preferred.
• Valid BLS certification or higher required per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all food services, including breakfast and lunch preparations, home meals, center snacks, and special events.
• Oversee daily duties of kitchen staff to ensure food is received, stored, prepared, served and disposed of per standards.
• Maintain records for CACFP compliance, internal policy requirements, and regulatory guidance.
