AltaMed Health Services Corporation is seeking a Food Preparation Coordinator to manage all food services across our sites in Los Angeles. You will supervise kitchen staff and ensure proper handling, storage, preparation, serving, and disposal of meals according to applicable standards.

The role includes CACFP recordkeeping and regulatory compliance. Preferred candidates hold a Food Protection Manager certificate or will obtain it within 90 days, with bilingual capabilities (English plus

Qualifications

• Certified Food Protection Manager per ANSI/ASTM standards or able to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred depending on site demographics
• Minimum 2 years of foodservice experience; elderly/healthcare setting preferred
• Experience leading or managing foodservice operations (1 year minimum)
• Valid BLS certification or higher per AHA/Red Cross guidelines

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all food services, including breakfast, lunch, home meals, center snacks and special events.
• Oversee daily duties of kitchen staff to ensure food handling, storage, preparation, service and disposal meet standards and regulations.
• Maintain records for CACFP compliance and internal policy requirements.
