Job summary

Dobson Fiber seeks a field Sales Team Lead to promote and sell fiber services to residential customers and to provide day-to-day leadership and coaching while contributing individually to sales in assigned territories.

You will coach a team of 8–12, perform ride-alongs, onboard new hires, and drive achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly targets while maintaining strong product knowledge and competitive positioning.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of direct sales experience, door-to-door preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel door-to-door in various weather.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 8–12 direct sales representatives.
• Conduct regular ride-alongs for coaching and skill development.
• Support onboarding and ramp-up of new hires to accelerate productivity.
• Foster a high-performance, accountable, and positive team culture.
• Help achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Monitor performance metrics (activity, conversion rates, sales volume).
• Help address performance gaps.
• Assist with structured onboarding for all new hires, including classroom and field training.
• Help new representatives achieve productivity benchmarks within ramp timelines.
• Conduct 30/60/90-day check-ins to assess progress.
• Partner with Manager to deliver curriculum and reinforce key sales skills.
• Assist on individualized coaching plans based on performance data.
• Utilize ride-alongs and real-time feedback to improve rep effectiveness.
• Reinforce product knowledge, sales messaging, and competitive positioning through ongoing training.
• Acquires new residential customers through door-to-door contact from assigned leads.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Dobson’s products and services to maximize sales.
• Communicates and develops rapport with customers; assesses needs and makes recommendations.
• Develops and presents sales presentations/proposals meeting customers’ needs.
• Performs other duties as requested
