IES Residential in Huntsville, AL seeks an Electrical Service Technician to ensure safe, efficient electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance on active construction sites and occupied homes. You will interpret blueprints, troubleshoot systems, and ensure code compliance while delivering expert service to homeowners and builders.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in electrical construction or service work, strong NEC knowledge, and the ability to read technical documents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent field experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical construction or service work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential or commercial construction environments.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, construction drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform field diagnostics.
• Run conduit and wire per NEC standards.
• Mount and install electrical panels, outlets, junction boxes, switches, and fixtures.
• Complete job documentation accurately, including service reports and materials usage.
