Job summary

IES Residential seeks an Electrical Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on active construction sites and in occupied homes. You will read blueprints and schematics, troubleshoot with meters, and perform advanced field work, including setting t-poles and running conduit per NEC standards.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on electrical experience.
• Strong NEC and local code knowledge.
• Ability to read technical documents, blueprints and work orders.
• Proficient with testing equipment and hand/power tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on construction sites and occupied homes.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Troubleshoot issues using multimeters and circuit testers.
• Set t-poles and perform advanced field work.
• Run conduit and wiring per NEC standards (PVC, EMT, MC, Romex).
• Mount and install panels, outlets, boxes, switches, and fixtures.
• Operate service truck and coordinate with general contractors.
