Job summary

IES is seeking a Residential Service Technician to assist with electrical service, maintenance and repair, working closely with customers and team members to ensure safe, compliant and timely service.

The role supports field operations, reviews service requests, and maintains accurate records while prioritizing safety and quality in every job. On-site positions require on-time availability and strong communication with customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in electrical service, maintenance, or related fields preferred.
• Relevant industry certifications or licenses where required to perform duties.
• Entry-level experience supporting field service operations or technicians preferred.
• English speaking, reading, and writing preferred where necessary to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work.
• Review service requests, project plans, specifications, and work orders to support job completion.
• Support diagnosing and resolving electrical service issues in residential, commercial, or operational environments.
• Ensure work complies with company policies, safety standards, and electrical codes.
• Communicate with customers regarding service needs and project updates.
• Coordinate with staff, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments.
