Job summary

Columbia University Facilities & Operations seeks a Manager of Facilities, Undergrad Residential Brownstones, to lead daily operations of Brownstone residences and related buildings. You will coordinate with building supers, manage maintenance, and ensure safe, compliant living environments for undergraduate students.

Reporting to the Director of Facilities, you will supervise both union and non-union staff, leverage Maximo CMMS for work orders, and collaborate with Housing to communicate with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of related experience, including 4 years supervising staff.
• Experience supervising both union and non-union staff.
• Strong knowledge of facility systems including HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Lighting.
• Computer literacy and proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day building operations for Brownstones and other non-Res Halls and off-campus buildings.
• Coordinate with building Supers to maintain high operational functionality.
• Inspect and address living-condition issues; coordinate maintenance/repair activities.
• Collaborate with Housing team for timely student notifications of maintenance work.
• Oversee trade contractors ensuring safety and quality; manage Maximo CMMS records.
