Job summary

Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM) is seeking a Facilities Operations Manager for South Campus Commons at the University of Maryland. Lead a facilities team in maintenance, cleaning, and preventive programs to ensure a safe, well‑maintained residential community.

You will collaborate with campus partners, supervise ~20 staff, and oversee budgets, scheduling, and vendor relations to deliver high‑quality housing operations consistent with university standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 7-10 years of full‑time experience in facilities management.
• Onsite attendance Monday through Friday, with potential after-hours during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all building maintenance, cleaning, and custodial services across seven buildings and 2,195 residents.
• Ensure facilities meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
• Monitor work orders and respond to emergencies to minimize disruption.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate approximately 20 Facilities staff.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for timely tasks.
• Manage payroll, timekeeping, inventory, and vendor relationships.
