Job summary

Purdue University in West Lafayette seeks a Maintenance Manager (Residential) to supervise a multi-craft campus maintenance zone and coordinate with Residential Housing administration, Building Services, and campus partners to deliver responsive, high-quality service.

You will provide leadership, organize work orders, manage budgets, and oversee preventive maintenance to enhance building performance, reliability, and safety while ensuring efficient operations and strong customer relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in supervision or technology.
• 3+ years of administrative supervisory experience, preferably in a technical or industrial area.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• Significant experience in facilities maintenance, with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or refrigeration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operations of a multi-craft campus maintenance zone and liaise with Residential Housing, Building Services, and campus partners.
• Provide leadership, direction, and administrative supervision; train staff, assign work, coach, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Organize and coordinate maintenance work orders with other zones and teams for timely completion.
• Develop and manage wage, salary, supply, operating expense, and capital budgets; monitor expenditures within budget.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs to improve building performance and reliability.
