Job description

**The Opportunity:**As the **Residential Education Director**, you will serve in a full-time, 10.5-month, live-in professional role overseeing the management of a residence hall community ranging from 145 to 600 residents. In this position, you will provide leadership and supervision to paraprofessional staff while fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging residential experience. Depending on your hall assignment, you may administer special programs such as academic initiatives, themed communities, living-learning communities, and Honors programs; adjudicate housing policy and contract violations; provide personal support and guidance to residents; coordinate educational and social programming; and manage budgets. You will also play a key role in community development, advise hall government organizations, respond to crises, facilitate conflict resolution, participate in committees and collateral assignments within Student Affairs, and fulfill emergency on-call responsibilities.**Additional Information:**This is a **full time** (100% FTE), **Temporary** position. This position is overtime **exempt.****Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position expected to end on May 20, 2027. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.****Monthly Compensation :**Salary: $4,613.82On-Call Stipend $250.00Perquisite Allowance: $1,798.00In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. A Master’s degree in College Student Personnel/Higher Education Administration/Counseling Psychology or a related field may be substituted for one (1) year of experience.* Must be willing and able to keep regular hours and work some evenings and weekends.* Must be certified or be able to complete Red Cross First-Aid and CPR certification within 1 month of hire.* Must be willing and able to live in the assigned residence hall and respond to after hours emergencies as needed.
