Job summary

The Arc Mid Hudson is seeking a Direct Support Professional for Palmer Center in Kingston, NY. The DSP will provide support and skills training to residents in a residential setting and in the community, fostering engagement and participation.

Training will include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration. Starting pay ranges from $22.26 to $24.29 per hour with a $2.00 differential for this location, plus shift differentials as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus.
• Valid NYS driverfs license is required.
• Basic computer knowledge is a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.
• You will encourage participation in daily activities and help residents engage with the group.
