Job summary

The Arc Mid Hudson is hiring a Direct Support Professional for Palmer Center in Kingston, NY. You will support residents with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a home-like setting and within the local community.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, leading activities, and providing encouragement. A high school diploma or GED is desired; NYS driver license and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is desired; post‑high-school Human Services education is a definite plus.
• An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must.
• Certification in van operations and standard first aid/CPR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and skills training to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in residential and community settings.
• Encourage residents, assist with daily living, and promote engagement in activities and music.
• Ensure safety, supervise transport, and document basic care tasks as needed.
