Job summary

The Arc Mid Hudson seeks a Direct Support Professional for Palmer Center, House 1, to provide support and skills training to residents in a residential setting and in the community in Kingston, NY. This role includes facilitating daily activities, socialization, and personal care support in a compassionate environment.

Starting salary is $22.26–$24.29 per hour for the Kingston location, with a $2.00 per hour differential over base, plus shift differentials where applicable.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is desired.
• Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus.
• NYS driver’s license and basic computer knowledge required.
• Training includes Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and skills training to residents in a residential setting and in the community.
• Encourage participation in group activities and daily living routines.
• Assist residents with personal care, transportation, and participation in recreational activities.
