Job summary

The Arc Mid Hudson is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community. Seven residents live at Mooney Hill; the DSP helps them reach independence and maximum potential, with training including van certification, First Aid/CPR, and medication administration.

The position is on-call as needed with a starting salary of $19.44- $21.39 per hour and paid new

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Post-high-school education in Human Services is a plus.
• NY driver’s license required; basic computer knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and skills training to residents with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
• Assist residents in achieving independence and maximum potential.
• Support residents in community activities and in residential setting.
