Job summary

Venture Community Services is looking for a Direct Support Professional in Southbridge, MA to support developmentally disabled individuals in residential and community settings. You will follow the Individual Support Plans and Behavioral Management Plans, with overnight coverage as needed.

Schedule includes Sun 9a-10p, Mon 2p-11p, Tues 2p-10p, Weds 1p-3p, Fri 3p-11p; Full-Time: 40 Hours. Pay rate is $17.50-$19.00 per hour with paid training by Venture!

Qualifications

• Maintain First Aid, CPR, MAP & PABC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor individuals for health and safety.
• Safely evacuate individuals from residence in the event of fire or disaster.
• Physically assist individuals, as needed, in transfer and carries, both ambulatory and non-ambulatory.
• Physically escort/restrain individuals during emergency situations or behavioral episodes.
• Educate, supervise and monitor individual self-medication programs.
• Educate and train individuals in goals and objectives specified in ISP and behavior plan.
• Coordinate and assist with planning of leisure time.
• Provide emergency coverage to include overnight.
