Job summary

AIMED Human Services is seeking Residential Advisors (Direct Care Support Professionals) to provide compassionate, safe, and therapeutic support in a residential setting. You will help participants live as independently as possible, manage medications, and assist with daily living activities.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, 1 year of human service experience, and crisis intervention training. A driver’s license and willingness to drive a van are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma and one year of Human Service work experience.
• At least 2–3 years working with autism, intellectual disability, and mental health.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a van (Employees Only).
• Crisis intervention training (i.e., nonviolent crisis intervention, positive approach, etc.).
• CPR, First Aid and AED.

Responsibilities

• Community Integration: Providing transportation in the community, jobs, fun social activities, doctor’s appointments.
• Personal Care: assist with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility as needed.
• Building Skills and positive relationship with the participant: teaching daily life skills to support independence.
• Medication Administration: Manage and administer medications.
• Household Support: Light housekeeping, meal prep, grocery shopping, and keeping walkways clear.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
