Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a Residential Counselor for the MAP program in Norton, MA. The role supports adults in Group Living Environments, helping them develop daily living skills and community integration. The position requires a High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.

Strong English communication and basic computer skills are essential, with trauma-informed care valued. Shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 7am-3pm, with a salary in the $20.00–$23.75 per hour range.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Strong communication skills in English and basic computer proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility.
• Compassion, patience, and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE).
• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
