Job summary

BAMSI in Holliston, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor for MAP to provide rehabilitative support to adults in group living environments, helping with daily living skills and community integration.

You will teach ADLs, implement treatment plans under clinician guidance, supervise medications, transport residents, advocate for their needs, and maintain a safe, clean home with timely documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; mental health experience preferred.
• MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification is required; training provided if not certified within 3 months.
• Valid driver's license and ability to assist with mobility.
• Strong communication skills in English and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and trauma-informed care.
• Bonus: lived experience or multilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.

• Strong communication skills (English) and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
