Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a Residential Counselor MAP in Attleboro, MA to provide rehabilitative support in Group Living Environments. You will help residents develop daily living skills and community integration under clinician guidance.

The role requires MAP certification within 3 months, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. English communication and care with trauma-informed approach are essential.

Qualifications

• MAP certification required; must be certified within 3 months of starting.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility.
• Strong communication skills in English and basic computer proficiency.
• Mental health experience preferred.
• Bonus: lived experience or multilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer or supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.

• Strong communication skills (English) and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
