Job summary

BAMSI in Easton, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor for MAP to support adults in group living environments. You will teach ADLs, assist with treatment plans, administer medications under clinician guidance, transport residents, and advocate for their needs, while documenting care.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, English communication skills, and compassion with trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; mental health experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility (bending, standing).
• Strong communication skills (English) and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
• Bonus: Lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).

Responsibilities

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
