Job summary

Vinfen is seeking a Residential Counselor II in Connecticut to provide direct support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in small group or individual living arrangements. You will support daily living, administer medications under MAC, implement treatment plans, and help residents become more independent while strengthening community connections.

The role involves coordinating transportation, documenting progress, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Typical Requirements: At least one year of experience and/or training in a related function is preferred.
• Preferred /Required Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and document treatment plans, ISP/IPs and clinical programs.
• Provide training and support to persons served, including rehabilitative and behavioral interventions.
• Assist individuals in becoming connected to their communities and plan recreational activities to promote well‑being.
• Provide transportation as needed for outings, appointments, and activities.
• Assess residents’ status and report changes to supervisor; monitor funds and maintain records.
• Complete paperwork, logs, and data records; ensure MAC compliance and safety policies.
