Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a Residential Counselor in the MAP program to provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments. The role focuses on building daily living skills and community integration under clinician guidance.

You will teach essential ADLs, implement treatment plans, administer MAP-guided medications, and assist with transportation and documentation, contributing to residents’ growth and independence.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Mental health experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

  • Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
  • Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
  • Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
  • Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
  • Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
  • Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.

What You Bring:

  • Bonus: Lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).
