Job summary

BAMSI, Inc. is hiring a Residential Counselor for the Heritage Circle Bridgewater area. The role focuses on providing rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments, helping with daily living skills and community integration.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and strong English communication. Training is provided, including MAP certification and CEU opportunities, with a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mental health experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to assist with mobility (bending, standing, etc.).
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE).
• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and social skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer or supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
