Job summary

BAMSI, Inc. is seeking a Residential Counselor for the MAP program in Brockton, MA. The role focuses on rehabilitative support for adults in Group Living Environments, helping residents develop daily living skills and community integration.

Responsibilities include teaching ADLs, following treatment plans, supervising medications, and coordinating with clinicians. Strong communication, trauma-informed care, and reliability are essential in a compassionate, diverse work setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Mental health experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and social skills.
• Implement/monitor treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer and supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
