Job summary

BBG Ventures, LLC is seeking a Project Manager / Estimator for residential construction projects in a hybrid role based in Deerfield, IL. The position is 30 hours per week and targets candidates with 2–5 years in residential construction, focusing on bidding, purchasing, and cost management across multiple projects.

You will read and interpret plans, coordinate bids with subcontractors, support value engineering, track budgets, and ensure documentation stays current.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ experience in residential construction, project coordination, estimating, or purchasing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• General understanding of residential construction methods and sequencing.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong computer skills, including Excel and construction software such as Buildertrend or similar.

Responsibilities

• Bidding & Scope Management: Review drawings, solicit bids, identify scope gaps, coordinate pricing.
• Purchasing & Subcontractor Coordination: Select subcontractors, issue purchase orders, maintain pricing consistency.
• Budget & Cost Tracking: Build and maintain budgets, track costs, manage change orders and cost adjustments.
• Project Coordination: Align budget, schedule, and field execution with project managers and superintendents.
• Technology & Systems: Maintain project data in Buildertrend and keep budgets, schedules, and docs up to date.
